In order to use Neutrino you will first need to install a software wallet on your computer. A software wallet works much like a bank account, allowing you to store, send and receive neutrinos quickly, easily and privately.
Your wallet software stores information on your computer that is unique to your wallet. This allows the software to know that you, and only you, are authorized to send and receive neutrinos from your wallet. If you delete or otherwise lose your wallet, the neutrinos in that wallet will be irretrievable.
Neutrino is an open source software project released under the MIT/X11 license which gives you the power to run, modify, and copy the software and to distribute, at your option, modified copies of the software. The software is released in a transparent process that allows for independent verification of binaries and their corresponding source code.
